Key Points to Remember
1. Pay attention to any physical changes in your body and ask
doctor’s opinion. Be alert but not obsessed to the point of not enjoying your life.
Usually it is not cancer. If it is, remember that cancer is treatable if caught
early.
2. Know your family health history both on your mother’s and on your father’s side and
schedule timely screening tests.
3. Know your BMI (body mass index) and strive to keep it under
25 which is at the border of overweight.
4. Exercise regularly to lower blood estrogen levels and to help
cut your risk of breast cancer.
5. Have regular screening tests: get a colonoscopy after 50;
schedule regular Pap smears after 21; schedule mammograms after 40.
