Voltaire was a French Enlightenment writer, historian, and philosopher famous for his wit, and his advocacy of freedom of religion, freedom of expression, and separation of church and state. "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to death your right to say it." said Voltaire in the 18th century. This credo is still held in high esteem by numerous writers, satirists, cartoonists, artists and people in many parts of our world. Charles Hebdo journalists believed in this noble principle of freedom of expression and they did it in a humorous way. Nobody deserves to die for this.
